  • When your Life is Touched by Neurodiversity

“The things that make me different are the things that make me.”
    – Winnie the Pooh

Feeling different or unique while also feeling unsettled, unaccepted, lonely and scared, may be a sign that you are a Neuro-diverse individual. Knowing and accepting what makes you YOU is the beginning of making things better. DBT Skills and Strategies, along with Validation and Acceptance strategies, are a great start to help you build your best life. If you are looking for a life out of the shadows and out of your room….if you are looking to show your brilliance and have purpose and friendships, don’t wait to reach out. If you are impacted by Neurodiversity yourself or if you are concerned about a neurodiverse person, you are not alone.

Christina Unruh, LCSW  has first hand experience supporting Neurodiverse adults and working with Neurodiverse relationship issues within partnerships and families. She blends this valuable experience with intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). DBT principles and skills are foundational to helping people increase their effectiveness with others and feel known and understood by the people they care about and care for.
